Due to the monumental amount of donation requests that we receive, the Savage River Lodge does a matching donation program.We are happy to donate a one-night stay equal to $245 for a Sunday through Thursday stay if your organization would be willing to purchase an additional night for the same rate, same date restrictions. Donation requests take four weeks to process and we accept them via email.

Bodhi Lodge Dog Relief Fund
In honor our of beloved Bodhi. Donations help with medical or cremation expenses for pets who aren't as fortunate as Bodhi was. To date we have raised over $9,000.
Habitat for Humanity
Habitat for Humanity is one of our favorite organizations. "Building Simple Decent Houses for People in Need". We have raised $42,000 to build a Habitat house in Garrett County, Maryland.The "Savage River Lodge" Habitat house was built in 2009.
Heifer International's mission is to work with communities to end hunger and poverty and to care for the earth. Heifer does this by providing appropriate livestock, training and related services to small-scale farmers and communities worldwide.

Clean the World
Through their recycling of used soap, Clean the World works to prevent unnecessary deaths caused by disease and uncleanliness. Over 5 million people die each year due to things stemming from unclean living conditions. Clean the World takes hotels used soap, sanitizes it and then redistributes to impoverished countries world-wide. The Lodge is proud to say, that we've so far donated over 100 pounds of soap.
SRL Coat Drive
Beginning in 2007 and with the help of our generous guests, we have collected over 100 coats that we have donated to those in need. While we traditionally do the coat drive during early winter (when everyone is cleaning out their closets!), we accept donations all year round. Next time you're up, don't forget that old coat that you've been meaning to get rid of!
