Since 2003, we've annually earned Wine Spectator's Award of Excellence for our wine list of over 150 different wines. In addition to the Award of Excellence, the Lodge has also been awarded Wine Enthusiast's Award of Distinction.

After two decades of business, we were awarded the Small Business of the Year Award through the Maryland Chamber of Commerce, and the first business in Garrett County to win the award. The Maryland Chamber’s annual Small Business Awards recognize the dedication, innovation and entrepreneurial spirit displayed by small businesses in Maryland.

For all of her hard work here at the Lodge, owner Jan Russell was honored as the Heiss Entrepreneur of the Year at the 2011 Garrett County Chamber of Commerce dinner.

We were honored in 2011 to receive the Maryland Department of Tourism's Green/Sustainable Award for our eco-friendly practices, which you can learn more about here.

For the second year in a row, we were honored in Maryland Life Magazine's Free State's Finest contest. In 2011, we were chosen by Maryland Life readers as the Finest Spa, Finest Fine Dining and Finest Couple's Getaway. In 2012, we were awarded with Finest Overnight Stay, Finest Dessert, Finest Fine Dining and Editor's Choice for Finest Couple's Getaway.
