The Lodge sells basic fly fishing supplies, offers excellent guide services and is open for lunch and dinner daily. We also offer fly fishing lessons and new for 2013, Fly Fishing 101 and Casting classes. We have a staff of fishing guides for those who want to make their life a little easier or for those new to the art. In addition, we provide extraordinary accommodations, hospitality and dining to help turn a great day or two of incredible fly fishing into a trip to remember. Need a fishing license or trout stamp? Savage River Lodge can no longer get them for you. Please visit Maryland DNR's website or call them at 1-855-855-3906 as you will need to bring your fishing license with you before you come! (Don't forget a trout stamp!)

Cancellation Policy: A 50 percent deposit isdue upon booking a float trip, wade trip, Fly Fishing 101 course or Casting class and is non-refundable. Notice of less than 72-hours will result in the total balance due being charged to the credit card on file.

SRL Outfitters Fly Fishing 101 & Casting Classes
Fly fishing 101 curriculum includes Fishing vs. Spin Fishing, Essential Knots for on the Water, What Trout Eat & Flies to Match, What is a Fly Cast? and What You Need to Fish. The basics of casting with a fly rod will be taught at the Casting class. These are a great compliment to the 101 course.

Fishing will depend on water levels and the weather. First thing in the morning your guide will check the water level of all four rivers and the weather forecast. At that time, we will determine where the fishing will be best. If the water levels are too high and therefore not fishable or the weather is deemed unsafe, you can either use your deposit for a future fishing trip or credit it toward your current stay.

*To secure a guide for your trip, we do require a 50%, non-refundable deposit.
