A
Brief Tour
Completely
surrounded by more than 700 acres of State Forest lands, the Savage River
Lodge offers privacy, serenity, unparalleled relaxation and myriad opportunities
for fun.
For
romantic weekends, family getaways (we're pet friendly so your "best
friend" can come too), corporate retreats, reunions or just for fun,
the Savage River Lodge is an unforgettable experience!
The
Cabins

Our eighteen private "cabins" are a step beyond what one imagines
upon hearing the word. Your two-story log cabin at the Savage River Lodge
provides exceptional comfort and amenities.
In
the main sleeping loft, you'll find a down-clad queen bed, good reading
light and ample solitude. The main floor seating area is furnished with
sink-into chairs, a queen sleeper-sofa, table and chairs, a gas-log fireplace,
gourmet hot beverage supplies and equipment, and a small refrigerator.

Ceiling fans insure your year-round comfort. The generous bath offers two sinks,
an oversized soaking tub, and upscale offerings--hair dryer, thick towels,
unique products. Your rocking-chair-furnished porch provides a wonderful
retreat.
In
the morning, you'll open your cabin door to find your own basket of fresh
juice and muffins to help start your day.
Cabins
can comfortably sleep four persons.
All cabins are non-smoking.
Some cabins are available to accommodate your family pets.
There
are no kitchen facilities or televisions in your cabin.
We are accessible and accommodating for the disabled or for those
with special needs.
The
Lodge Building

A short walk from your cabin, the Lodge is the gathering point for our
Lodge guests and other visitors. A spacious 10,000 square feet, it houses
a 75-seat restaurant serving American regional cuisine, bar, sitting room,
wide porches. The loft floor contains a large gathering room suitable
for dining, parties, events and day or multi-day meetings. The smaller loft houses our Library and is furnished in comfortable chairs, game tables and shelves and shelves of books. The Lodge is the place to gather, meet new friends
or enjoy a meal.
Downstairs,
our gift shop, the Savage River Trading Company, beckons with Lodgeware, furnishings, decorative items, garden goodies, antiques and more.
The front office is where guests check in, find answers to questions, advice about hiking and sports rentals, and much more.
A nearby building houses the ski shop in the winter months.

A memento of our stay
Hello,
folks,
We
had the opportunity to stay with you for 3 nights a couple of weeks ago,
and the attached snapshot was just so expressive of the serenity of our
stay that I wanted to share it with you. I made it into wallpaper for
our home computer - as a reminder!
If you have any opportunity to use it on your website (or even want to)
feel free. Thanks for everything.
Tim & Linda Resau
