INAUGURATION DAY

A great day to get out of Washington! Take refuge in the peace and quiet of the mountains, where the only chance of a traffic jam is getting stuck behind a snowplow on a one-lane road. 

INTERNATIONAL DINNER SERIES: THAILAND
Wednesday, January 25th
Travel to the Eastern spices of Thailand for Chef Martin's second international dinner, $35 per person. On the menu:

  • Saku Sai Moo, steamed pork tapioca dumplings
  • Yam Pla Duk Fu, crispy fish with green mango salad
  • Pad Thai, stir-fried rice noodles

Add Thai Curry Soup and Leum Gleun mung bean and coconut dessert for an additional $10

FLYING DOG TAP TAKEOVER

Our sister The Cornucopia Café is hosting a FeBREWary Tap Takeover event with Flying Dog Brewing from Frederick, MD. Folks from the brewery will be there with plenty of pints and giveaways. Drink good beer!

70th ANNUAL MEYERSDALE MAPLE FESTIVAL
March 25th and 26th & March 29th through April 2nd
Maple syrup making demonstrations. Many maple farms throughout the area will be open for tours. PAMapleFestival.com

FISHING SEASON BEGINS
Saturday, April 1st
Area rivers and streams are stocked and open for catch & keep fishing. Fish the trophy waters of the Casselman, Savage, Youghiogheny, and North Branch of the Potomac all within convenient driving distance of the Lodge. Half-day and full-day guided trips or Introduction to fly-fishing classes offered, see the Recreation page for more.

BIG SAVAGE TUNNEL REOPENS
Approximately April 15th
The reopening of the Tunnels marks the start of cycling season! The Tunnel is a key linkage for through-travel on the Great Allegheny Passage trail. Click here for information on our GAP cycling package.

GRANTSVILLE NATIONAL ROAD FESTIVAL

THE ARTISAN & EPICUREAN FAIRE

The culmination of the Grantsville National Road Festival, the day-long festival will feature regional fine artisans and craftsmen, and specialty food producers with live music along the Casselman River in Grantsville, MD.

GARRETT COUNTY GRAN FONDO

The ride of your life! One of the most challenging courses in the country, the Gran Fondo traverses the beautiful scenic byways of Garrett County. Routes range from 25 miles to 125 miles. The event supports Garrett Trails

HAPPY TRAILS WEEKEND

A weekend in the woods with morning yoga sessions and guided hikes with trailside picnics. More details to be announced!

We always sell out for the last night of the year! We have plenty of champagne on hand for a celebratory toast as we watch the Good Riddance box burn in the fireplace.
